Toowoomba railway station is located on the Western line in Queensland, Australia. It serves the city of Toowoomba. The station has one platform with a passing loop, opening in 1867.[1] Toowoomba is the junction for the Western, Main and Southern lines.

Heritage listing

The station was listed on the Queensland Heritage Register in 1992.[1]

Services

Toowoomba is served by Traveltrain's twice weekly Westlander service travelling between Brisbane and Charleville.[2]

Following the cessation of the Dirranbandi Mail in February 1993 and the diversion of The Westlander to call at Willowburn in August 1994, Toowoomba was served by no regular passenger services.[3][4][5] This was redressed when The Westlander reverted to calling at the station from 8 April 1997.[6]

Toowoomba station is served by Bus Queensland Toowoomba services.[7]
