The Tournament of Champions [1] was a major professional tennis tournament between 1956 and 1959. The tournament was held on the indoor hardcourts at Los Angeles in 1956, and on the grass-courts of Forest Hills, New York, between 1957 and 1959. The 1956, 1957, and 1958 [2] tournaments all had a round robin format. The tournament was picked up again in 1968 for a one off tournament during the open era and called Jack Kramer's Tournament of Champions held at Wembley Arena.
