Town Centre Montessori Private Schools (TCMPS) is a private co-educational Montessori-based school in Markham, Ontario, Canada, founded in 1986. It teaches students from pre-school to grade 12 and university prep at three campuses in Markham: the Main Campus at 155 Clayton Drive, the Amarillo Campus, and the Milliken Campus.

Two Teachers per Class Program

TCMPS has a program called "Two Teachers per Class", in which each classroom has two teachers, a head teacher and a co-teacher as assistant. This leads to a high teacher-to-student rate. The core subjects of English, Mathematics, Science, History and Geography are taught to students in grades one through six by their regular classroom teachers; students in grades seven and eight have a rotary teaching schedule, with specialist teachers in Mathematics, Language, Science, History and Geography. Students in grades one through eight have specialist teachers for Computer Studies, Physical Education, French and Music/Band.[1]

Extended hours

In addition to teaching hours, TCMPS is open from 7:00 to 9:00 and after school from 3:30pm to 6:30pm.

From Kindergarten to Grade 12 after-school programs are offered to all ages, including choir, badminton, ballet, hip hop, pottery, art, computer club, tae kwon do, and piano.

Summer programs

From July to August summer programs are offered, including field trips. Swimming is available once weekly.
