Tradesports.com was a web-based fantasy sports predictions game. Each skills-based, sports trading contest awards cash prizes to the top performers.[1] Tradesports announced it was closing for business on November 30, 2015.[2]

Daily contests included all major sports in season like the MLB, the NFL, the NHL, the NBA, College Football and College Basketball. Tradesports will also offer unique contests related to events like the NFL Draft, Tennis and Golf major tournaments, and more.

Tradesports.com used proprietary trading technology, battle tested with millions of trades and thousands of users. The robust trading engine (originally developed by Intrade.com) was designed to aggregate the "wisdom of the crowd" about sporting events into an intuitive Prediction Market format exposing player created crowd based data.

Founded and re-launched by Ron Bernstein, Tradesports.com, Inc. was a US based company with offices in New York City. Bernstein was the original founder and CEO of Intrade.[3]

Gameplay

Tradesports.com offered SKILL BASED Fantasy Sports contests with real money entry fees and real cash prizes. The Tradesports PREDICTIONS GAME asked players to make YES or NO predictions about the outcomes of things that happen during sporting events, where the best predictors won. Different from traditional fantasy sports, Tradesports contests were based upon the teams and players fans know about. There are no drafts and no rosters.

Tradesports.com users were able to participate and play for as little as $2 or up to $1,000, and each contest has pre-determined cash prizes with immediate payouts.

Free-to-play contests were also available.[4]

Media Coverage

Tradesports has been featured in a wide range of publications including Business Insider,[5] The New York Times[6] and Forbes.[7]
