Travis Michael Head (born 29 December 1993) is an Australian cricketer, currently contracted to South Australia and the Adelaide Strikers for domestic matches. He made his Twenty20 International debut for Australia on 26 January 2016 against India.[1] He made his One Day International (ODI) debut on 13 June 2016 against the West Indies.[2]

From Adelaide, where he played at underage levels for the Craigmore Cricket Club,[3] Head represented South Australia at both under-17 and under-19 level, making his debut in the National Under-19 Championships at the age of 17.[4] He went on to play 18 under-19 One Day International (ODI) matches for the Australian national team, including at the 2012 ICC Under-19 World Cup.[5] Having been awarded a rookie contract by the South Australian Cricket Association (SACA), Head made his first-class debut for South Australia during the 2011–12 season of the Sheffield Shield, in a match against Victoria at the Adelaide Oval.[6] He went on to play in each of South Australia's three remaining Shield matches, scoring two half-centuries with a best of 90 runs against Tasmania, which included a 177-run partnership with Michael Klinger (219 not out).[7]

Head remained a regular selection for the 2012–13 season, usually batting in the middle order.[8] He again participated in the National Under-19 Championships, and was named Player of the Tournament for a second consecutive championships.[9] Head subsequently played a single Twenty20 game for the Adelaide Strikers in the Big Bash League, replacing the injured Kieron Pollard in the team.[10] However, shortly after South Australia's Shield win against Victoria in January 2013, he was hit by a car outside a hotel in Adelaide, receiving injuries to his head and back.[11] At grade cricket level, Head plays for Tea Tree Gully.[12]

On 31 December 2015, during a Big Bash match, Head led the Strikers to a memorable victory against the Sydney Sixers scoring 7 sixes and 2 fours in the final three overs, ending up scoring 101 in 53 balls.[13]
