Trochocercus is a genus of bird in the Monarchidae family. Described by Jean Cabanis in 1850, the name Trochocercus is a combination of the Greek words trokhos meaning "circular" or "round" and kerkos, meaning "tail".[1]
After three species (Dusky Crested Flycatcher, White-bellied Crested Flycatcher, and White-tailed Crested Flycatcher) were transferred to the Family Elminia in 2009, it now contains the following two remaining species:[2]
- Blue-mantled crested flycatcher (Trochocercus cyanomelas)
- Blue-headed crested flycatcher (Trochocercus nitens)
