Trun No Grah (Gujarati: તૃણનો ગ્રહ) is the collection of poems written by Natwarlal Kuberdas Pandya 'Ushnas' in Gujarati language. The book was awarded by Narmad Suvarna Chandrak in 1963. It is considered as the finest works of poet Ushnas in Gujarati literature.[1]

History

The poems of this book were written by Ushnas during 1959 to 1963, and where published in many eminent Gujarati magazines including Sanskruti, Kumar, Kshitij, Vishwamanav, Kavilok, Samarpan, Manjari, Akhandanand, Ruchi and Milan. The book was published in October 1964 by Harihar Pustakalay, Surat.[2]

Content

The book consists of 111 poems composed in different genres of poetry. Excluding some Haiku, Geet, Ghazal and Free verse, the whole book is contains Sonnet, mainly composed in Sanskrit meters Shikharini.[3]

Awards

The book had brought the Narmad Suvarna Chandrak (1963) to poet Ushnas.
