Turks in Israel are either Turkish people who live in Israel even though having been born outside Israel, or are Israeli-born, but have Turkish roots. By Turkish roots, this could mean roots linking back to Turkey, the island of Cyprus or the communities of the Turkish diaspora. Turks living in Israel are relatively recent immigrant workers who work in construction projects.[2]
History
Turks first began to settle in Israel during Ottoman rule when the area was part of the province of Syria.
