U Turn is the 6th album by Brian McKnight released in 2003. The album takes much inspiration from Brian's split from his wife, which can be heard in songs such as "Shoulda, Woulda, Coulda" and "So Sorry" The album peaked at #7 on the Billboard 200, with the single, "Shoulda Woulda, Coulda" peaking at #35 on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs.[2]

U Turn was certified Gold by the RIAA on May 13, 2003.[3]

It included the singles "Shoulda, Woulda, Coulda" and "All Night Long" (featuring Nelly) which had moderate success on the R&B charts. While not pushed in the US, the track "So Sorry" was released in the Philippines in a Tagalog version, as McKnight had heard Martin Nievera singing it and wanted to record a version as well.[4]
