Ulf Nilsson (born in Helsingborg in 1948), is an award-winning Swedish writer[1] who has published more than 100 books and picture books, geared mainly to children and adolescents.[2] He is also the long-running president of the Swedish Academy for Children's Books.

Nilsson has received the August Prize (Augustpriset) twice, the only writer for children and young adults to have been so recognized,[6] and a distinction he shares with only four other writers for readers of any age.[7]
