Ulisse Cantagalli pottery

Ulisse Cantagalli (1839-1901) was an Italian pottery producer in Florence, Italy.

Historical significance

In 1878, Ulisse Cantagalli took over the family's factory in Florence and began to trade as Manifattura Figli di Giuseppe Cantagalli.^[1] The main production was copies of Italian maiolica, European and middle Eastern pottery: ceramics, tin-glazed earthenwares in the Iznik pottery style of the Ottoman Empire.
