Uttanakūrmāsana

Uttana Kurmasana is an Asana. It is translated as Inverted Tortoise Pose from Sanskrit.

The name of this pose comes from "uttana" meaning "intense stretch", "kurma" meaning "tortoise", and "asana" meaning "posture" or "seat".[1]

Benefits and Cautions

Benefits of this pose include: stretching the back muscles, stimulating the inner organs, stretching ankles, knees and hips.

Be careful while doing this pose if you have lower back, ankle, knee or hip injuries.[1]
