Vṛścikāsana

Vriscikasana (or Vrischikasana) is an Asana. It is translated as Scorpion Pose from Sanskrit.

The name of this pose comes from "vrischika" meaning "scorpion", and "asana" meaning "posture" or "seat".[1][2][3] Vrischikasana has two variations: on the forearms and in a handstand.[4]

Benefits and Cautions

This pose has the following benefits: strengthens the wrists, arms and shoulders, stretches the back, stimulates internal organs and helps with balance. It also promotes the blood flow to the internal organs of the torso, being an inversion.

Be careful while doing this pose if you have wrist, elbow, shoulder, spinal injuries or high blood pressure.[1]
