Vanessa Morgan (born March 23, 1992) is a Canadian actress.[1] She is known for her roles as Bird in the MTV teen drama Finding Carter, as Amanda Pierce in the Family Channel series The Latest Buzz, and as Sarah in the television film My Babysitter's a Vampire and the television series of the same name.
Early life
Morgan was born in Ottawa, Ontario. Her father is East African and her mother is Scottish.[2]
Career
As an actress
Morgan made appearances in the VH1 original movie A Diva's Christmas Carol in 2000 and an appearance in the movie Frankie and Alice in 2010. She became known in 2007 for her role of Amanda Pierce in the Family Channel TV series The Latest Buzz as well as performing the theme song for the series. She also played Marion Hawthorne in the Disney Channel original movie Harriet the Spy: Blog Wars in 2010.
The next year, she played Sarah in the Disney Channel/Teletoon film My Babysitter's a Vampire, as well in the television series of the same name.[3] Morgan also appeared in the 2011 Disney Channel Original Movie Geek Charming. She has a recurring role in season 2 of the Disney Channel sitcom A.N.T. Farm.
In 2013, Morgan appeared on Degrassi: The Next Generation for two episodes.
Other work
Morgan also competed in the first season of The Amazing Race Canada with her sister, Celina Mziray. They finished the race in third place.[4]
Personal life
Morgan won the Junior Miss America 1999 pageant and graduated from Colonel By Secondary School in 2010.
