The Velhas Conquistas or “Old Conquests” are a group of four concelhos or administrative districts in Goa which were incorporated into Portuguese India in the 16th century. They form the oldest parts, having been acquired in 1510 and in the next few years.

The four concelhos of the Velhas Conquistas are the Ilhas de Goa (or Tiswadi), Bardez, Mormugao and Salcette.

In writing postal addresses, it is abbreviated V.C..

The Velhas Conquistas form the central portion of Goa. They are also the most developed areas of Goa.
