History

Vetrya is an Italian group founded by Luca Tomassini, who serves as the company’s President and CEO. Develops digital solutions, applications and broadband services. The group operates in the digital markets, media, telco, broadband, product, outsourcing and content management. Through Vetrya Inc., a company based in Palo Alto (CA), it develops services and b2c applications. It boasts successful collaborations with leading telecom operators in the world, media companies, publishers, broadcasters, banks, utilities, manufacturing and consumer products.[1][2] In February 2015, through Vetrya Inc. USA (CA) has released the application of multimedia messaging called blabel.[3] Vetrya had previously opened its USA in San Jose and then in Palo Alto During 2014.[4] vetrya group started the process for listing on the AIM market of Borsa Italian Stock Exchange S.p.A. The listing is planned for summer 2016.[5][6] On July. 29th, 2016 Vetrya has been listed on the Italian stock exhange[7]

Services, apps and platforms

Vetrya is a supplier and developer of cloud platforms, multi screen platforms for broadband telecommunications networks, media asset management, mobile entertainment, mobile payment, value-added services, internet TV, broadcasting, digital advertising and content production. The company has partnered with Civolution to produce the mobile platform for the Italian television station La3.[8] They also worked together to produce the second-screen app for channel provider De Agostini.[9] In addition to its multi-screen platform work, Vetrya is the producer of the Blabel app,[1] a real-time messaging program.[10]

The company’s headquarters are located near Orvieto, the exact center of Italy[11] Italy, and were opened in March 2015.[12] It has been described as a Silicon Valley-style campus.[13] In 2015 the company has a staff that was 37% young women.[14] In April 2015, the company was named one of the best places to work in Italy.[15]
