Viktor Sots (born 11 May 1958) is a Soviet male former weightlifter, who competed in the first heavyweight class and represented Soviet Union at international competitions. He won the gold medal at the 1981 and 1982 World Weightlifting Championships in the 100 kg category.[1]

The movement with the kettlebell called Sots press (also called the squat press) is named after him. This exercise is a rack squat with a press at the bottom of the squat.
