Violent Restitution is the fifth full-length album from the Canadian speed/thrash metal band Razor released in 1988. It is the first album to feature Rob Mills on drums and Adam Carlo (Dave Carlo's brother) on bass and the last one to feature Stace "Sheepdog" McLaren on vocals.

Vocalist Stace "Sheepdog" was sacked from the band later in 1988 after Dave Carlo had heard rumours circulating around that Sheepdog was had been initiated as the new vocalist for fellow Canadian thrash metal band Infernäl Mäjesty. Tensions between Stace and the band had been coming progressively worse as he, according to Carlo, was more concerned with getting drunk and stoned and his performances had even gotten worse because Sheepdog was forgetting the lyrics and just wouldn't put out the effort to memorize them while the rest of them had worked hard on their respective instruments. After realizing Infernäl Mäjesty hadn't fired their original vocalist, Stace left and called Carlo back, and said he had just been "fucking around" with the band. Dave then prompted Sheepdog that Razor was continuing on with vocalist Bob Reid.
