Viridian Green Laser Sights, part of Laser Aiming Systems Corporation, is a laser sight manufacturer in Minneapolis, Minnesota that specializes in developing green laser sights for firearms.[1] The lasers are green, as opposed to the traditional red, because the color is closer to the center of the visible spectrum and therefore more easily visible to the human eye.[1] Viridian products are available to military, law enforcement, and civilian users and they are compatible with a wide range of firearms.[1]
Viridian laser sights have 5 mW beam intensities (Class IIIa), and all models have ambidextrous activation and are constructed of 6061 Aircraft Grade Aluminum and Zytel polymer.[2] In 2013, Viridian introduced their new Reactor 5 laser model, which is a trigger guard laser for popular subcompact pistols.[3]
