Vitaliy Kafanov (born 24 May 1960) is a retired Kazakhstani-Turkmenistani football player. He is a goalkeepers' coach with FC Rostov.
He began his career with Kolkozchi Ashkhabad, before spending one season with Uralmash Yekaterinburg in the Soviet First League[1] and finishing his career with FC Kairat.[2]
Kafanov made six appearances for the Kazakhstan national football team in 1992. He later appeared twice for the Turkmenistan national football team.[3]
Following his playing career, Kafanov became a manager, most recently with FC Rubin Kazan.[4]
