Walter Denkert (23 February 1897 – 9 July 1982) was a German general (Generalleutnant) in the Wehrmacht during World War II. He was a recipient of the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross. Denkert surrendered to the American troops in April 1945 in the Ruhr Pocket and was held until 1947.
