Walter Ronnie Sailor, Jr.

Walter Ronnie "Ron" Sailor, Jr. (born c. 1975) is a former State Representative in the Georgia General Assembly. He represented parts of DeKalb and Rockdale counties[1] from 2005 to 2006.

He resigned his office in March 2008 after pleading guilty to charges of money laundering and attempted laundering of what he believed were proceeds from the sale of cocaine.[1] He received a sentence of five years imprisonment. He was convicted in September of the same year of a separate crime, for secretly taking out a $250,000 loan using as collateral property belonging to the Greater New Light Missionary Baptist Church of which he was the pastor; he was sentenced to five years and three months in federal prison.[2]

He is the son of African-American TV and radio broadcast journalist W. Ron Sailor, Sr.[3]
