The University of West Yangon (Burmese: ရန်ကုန် အနောက်ပိုင်း တက္ကသိုလ် [jàɴɡòʊɴ ʔənaʊʔpáɪɴ tɛʔkəθò]), located in Htantabin, Yangon Division, is a liberal arts and sciences university in Myanmar. The university offers bachelor's and master's degree programs in liberal arts and science.[3] Students who wish to pursue post-graduate (especially PhD course)studies typically go to Yangon University.
Programs
Classified as an Arts and Science university in the Burmese university education system, West Yangon University offers bachelor's and master's degree programs in common liberal arts and sciences disciplines. Its regular Bachelor of Arts (BA) and Bachelor of Science (BSc) take three years to complete, honors degree programs BA (Hons) and BSc (Hons) take four years and master's degree programs MA, MSc and MRes take five and six years.[3]
