Twickenham Academy is a is a co-educational secondary school located in Whitton, in the London Borough of Richmond, south-west London.
A £24m refurbishment to the school was completed in July 2013 and reopened by then Twickenham MP Vince Cable.
Assal Ruse, a former deputy at Waldegrave School, took over as Headteacher in April 2016.
Claire Little is the co-opted Chair of Governors.
Twickenham Academy is part of a family of local schools known as the Richmond West Schools Trust.
The Trust includes Richmond borough schools Waldegrave School, Teddington School, Hampton High and Nelson Primary School.
The Trust is led by the executive Headteachers of Teddington School and Waldegrave School.

GCSE results
In 2016, 55 per cent of students achieved A* - C grade at GCSE – an 11 percent improvement on the previous year.
English results improved by 12 percent, while Maths grades were up by 13 percent.
Headteacher Assal Ruse told the Richmond and Twickenham Times in August 2016: “It is our job to build on the foundations of this success to ensure outcomes for our students continue to rapidly improve.”
Admissions
Admissions for Year 7 are managed by the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames, not by the school. Offers for September 2017 will be sent out by the Local Authority.
Applications from Richmond’s residents will be made on Richmond’s Common Application Form, which will be available in paper form and online.
