Following the 2015 general election, Quince holds a dual mandate as member of parliament for Colchester and Borough Councillor for Prettygate ward.

Quince was educated at The Windsor Boys' School,[3] a state comprehensive school in the town of Windsor in Berkshire, followed by Aberystwyth University.

Life and career

Quince has been one of the representatives for Prettygate ward on Colchester Borough Council since the 2011 local election, and served as leader of the Conservative group on the council from 2011 to 2014, when he stepped down to focus on the then forthcoming general election.[4]

Quince also stood for Colchester at the 2010 general election, coming second behind Russell.

Quince's background is in law and customer development. Prior to taking his position as an MP he held positions at Concur Technologies, Britvic Soft Drinks and several law firms.[5]

On 6 September 2016, Quince auditioned for the popular TV show Britain's Got Talent after a bet by a local constituent on Twitter, in order to raise money for charity. £1000 was raised for local charities.[6][7]
