William H. "Bill" Pownall is an American politician and a Republican member of the Wyoming House of Representatives representing District 52 since January 5, 2015.[1] Prior to his service in the House, Pownall was the Campbell County Sheriff between 2005 and 2015.[2]
Elections
2014
Pownall challenged incumbent Republican Representative Troy Mader in the Republican primary. Mader, who had been appointed to the seat after Representative Sue Wallis died, ran for a full term. Pownall defeated Mader in the primary, 61% to 39%. He then won the general election unopposed.
2016
Pownall is running for re-election, and will face Nicholas DeLaat in the Republican primary.
