Wu Ying-yih (Chinese: 吳英毅; pinyin: Wú Yīngyì, born 15 January 1943) is a politician in the Republic of China who served as the Minister of Overseas Compatriot Affairs Commission, Overseas Chinese Affairs Commission and subsequently Overseas Community Affairs Council of the Executive Yuan in 2008-2013.[1]
Early life
Wu obtained his bachelor's degree in medical doctor from the Department of Surgery of National Taiwan University in 1961. He then obtained his doctoral degree in surgeon from the College of Medicine of University of Illinois in the United States in 1974.[2]
Political career
Wu served as the member of 6th Legislative Yuan after elected in the 2004 Republic of China legislative election on 11 December 2004 and took office on 1 February 2005.[3]
