Yogesh Dattatraya Gosavi (Marathi: योगेश दत्तात्रय गोसावी) (born 28th March, Pune), is an Indian film maker and screenwriter.[1] He is noted for his work in Marathi cinema, including a 2010 released Pratisaad - The Response. He has also worked as a TV commercials and documentaries maker for corporate's.[2]Yogesh is mainly active in Hindi (Bollywood) and Marathi Films.
Yogesh won Dadasaheb Phalke Film Festival Award and got international breakthrough when he directed Pratisaad - The Response. Yogesh received numerous awards and recognition for his creative, talented literary works in field of cinema and theater. He has assisted renown Hindi, Marathi film directors. Later he began directing regional-language movies; Yogesh appeared in several significant cameo roles in Hindi, Marathi feature films while assisting as director. Presently he is filming "Yun Hi" A Hindi feature film for own production house, It was buzz in Marathi Film Industry due to marathi film director has signed a German Actress for his first bollywood venture.[3]
Early life
Yogesh was born into a middle-class family in Pune. He lives in Mumbai. He has completed his MBA and M.com. Earlier he used to work with banking and financial institutions. Currently working freelancing in film and television media and also for own production house Y.D.G.Films.
Career
Yogesh started career at age 11 in child plays as actor; at 16 he got into one-act plays, commercial plays as actor and director, Later he started working as assistant director film and television industry (Bollywood) with renowned directors. In 2007 he started working independently as director for TV commercials and corporate films. He turned up as independent film director with Pratisaad - The Response in 2010.
After Pratisaad - The Response he made another Marathi feature film called Gadbad Gondhal[4] which scheduled to release in second half of 2016. Currently he is also filming a Hindi feature film for own production house called Yun Hi.
