York by-election, 1871

The York by-election of 1871 was fought on 14 February 1871. The byelection was fought due to the Resignation of the incumbent Liberal MP, Joshua Proctor Brown Westhead. It was won by the unopposed Liberal candidate George Leeman.[1]
