Youth Journalism International is a non-governmental organization (NGO) that provides journalism education to young people across the world. Founded by veteran journalists Steve and Jackie Majerus-Collins in 2007, it is a successor organization to The Tattoo, a teen newspaper first appearing in 1994.[1]

Youth Journalism International, or 'YJI,' has served students on every continent. Notable coverage included first person accounts of Hurricane Katrina and the Egyptian Revolution of 2011.[2] The organization also runs an annual teen journalism contest.[3]
