Zahid Hasan (Bengali: জাহিদ হাসান, born October 4, 1967[1][2]) is a Bangladesh actor who has performed in film, television and theatre. Zahid has been working as a famous actor in the showbiz arena of Bangladesh since 1990s.[3] Zahid Hasan is such a brilliant actor who already has proved his intelligence as actor in the various TV films and cinemas. He is an excellent small screen actor as well as a successful TV commercial model.[4]

Early life

Zahid Hasan was born on October 4 to Ilias Uddin Talukdar and Hamida Begum at grandparent’s house in Sirajganj, Bangladesh. His father was a custom superintend and mother was a housewife. His mother, Hamida Begum died on November 27, 2014 at Samarita Hospital in capital. Zahid Hasan is the younger son of his parents among eight siblings; he has four brothers and three sisters. Zahid came to Dhaka from home district to build up career in any working sector, rather turned himself into a country famous actor.[5]

Career

A native of Sirajganj, Bangladesh, Hasan was part of a theatre group for several years before moving to television in 1990. He took the lead in the BTV adaptation of Rabindranath Tagore's Shomapti and the protagonist in Bichchhu. While he made his first film appearance in 1986, his most notable role was in 2000's Srabon Megher Din, for which he won a national award.[4][6] In addition to acting, he has directed several serials and teleplays.

Personal life

Hasan resides in Mohammadpur, Dhaka. He is married to Sadia Islam Mou, famous Bangladeshi model and dancer. Together they have two children a daughter and a son. Zahid Hasan has a production house named Pushpita Production Limited.[1]

Zahid Hasan is well known for his comedian role in the dramas. His debut drama was Jibon Jemon was telecast in 1990. He showed his terrific performance in the drama serial Graduate, and got numerous admiration from all types of audience. Zahid Hasan has acted in more than 80 television dramas.
