ZOTAC International is a computer hardware manufacturer based in Macau. The company specializes in producing video cards, Mini PCs, Solid State Drives,[2][3] Motherboards, and other computer accessories. All its products are manufactured in the PC Partner factories in Dongguan City, China.[4]

Aside from its international headquarters in Macau, it also has three offices overseas in Korea, the US.,[5] and Germany.[1]

History

ZOTAC was established in 2006 under the umbrella company of PC Partner. Its name was derived from the words "zone" and "tact".

In 2007, ZOTAC created its first ever video card, the ZOTAC GeForce 7300 GT.

In 2008, ZOTAC became the first hardware company to ship video cards with a factory overclock.[2] It also created the first ever Mini PC, called the MAG ND01.[6] The MAG ND01 officially debuted in 2009. It featured 2GB of DDR2 memory, an Intel Atom 230 or 330 depending on the model, and a 160GB HDD.[7]

In 2012, ZOTAC began to offer extended warranty for all graphics cards and Mini PC products.[2]

In 2015, ZOTAC created a Steam Machine called the NEN.[8] It featured a Nvidia GeForce 960 and a Intel Core i5-6400T Processor[9]

In 2016, The MAGNUS EN980 debuted at Computex Taipei.[10] It was the first ever Mini PC that was considered "VR ready" by Nvidia,[11] and it featured a Nvidia GTX 980 and an i5 Processor.[12][13]
