Zygaena carniolica is a member of the Zygaenidae family. It is found in most of Europe, except northern Scandinavia.[1]

The wingspan is 30–35 mm. Adults are on wing from July to August. Adults feed on the nectar of flowers in the Fabaceae family.

The larvae feed on Lotus species.
