Łukasz Gikiewicz (born October 26, 1987 in Olsztyn) is a Polish footballer who plays as striker for BEC Tero Sasana in the Thai Premier League.

Career

Club

Gikiewicz is trainee of Warmia Olsztyn. On March 2009, he moved to Polonia Bytom on 2.5-year contract from Unia Janikowo.[1] In the summer 2009 his contract with Polonia was terminated.[2] On August 2009, he moved to ŁKS Łódź on a one-year deal.[3] In the summer 2010, he joined Śląsk Wrocław on four-year contract deal.[4]On 27 June 2013, he signed a contract with Omonia from Cyprus.[5]

In March 2014, Gikiewicz signed for Kazakhstan Premier League side FC Tobol.[6]

After spells at Cypriot football clubs Omonia and AEL Limassol Gikiewicz signed a 1.5-year deal with Levski Sofia in February 2015 making him the first ever Polish player to play for the Bulgarian club. On 27 February 2015, he scored on his official A PFG debut - a 8–0 home rout against Haskovo.[7] In April 2015 he was frozen out of the first team after a scandal with manager Stoycho Stoev.[8]

Personal life

Łukasz Gikiewicz's twin brother Rafał Gikiewicz is also a footballer who plays as a goalkeeper.
