The 1937 Rose Bowl, played on New Year's Day 1937 in Pasadena, California, was the 23rd Rose Bowl football game. It featured the Pittsburgh Panthers against the Washington Huskies. Ahead of the game, seating in the Rose Bowl was expanded to 87,677.[1] This Rose Bowl marked Pittsburgh's fourth Rose Bowl appearance in nine years. Having previously appeared in the 1928, the 1930 and the 1933 Rose Bowl's.
