2002–03 Honduran Liga Nacional de Ascenso

The Segunda Division de Honduras 2002–03 was an association football competition.

Changes to game

Changes took place within as the Segunda División was renamed Liga de Ascenso de Honduras.

All former reserve teams were forced to change names and loosen ties with former clubs.
The following name changes and relocations took place:
Motagua Reservas were renamed Aguilas del Motagua
Olimpia Reservas were renamed Olimpia Club
Real España Reservas were renamed Real Choloma
Victoria Leyde (reserves of Victoria) were renamed Real Mallorca
Comayagua were renamed Hispano
Tulín were renamed Juticalpa Tulín
Universidad Reservas were renamed Pumas de Universidad
Marathón Reservas were renamed América Marathón and were relocated from San Pedro Sula to San Juan Pueblo de Tela
Buenos Aires (Danlí) were renamed Super Estrella
Platense Pumas (reserves of Platense) ceded their place to Atlético Municipal (Santa Cruz de Yojoa)
