4RGD
4RGD is an Australian commercial radio station located in Toowoomba, Queensland.
It is currently broadcasting to the Darling Downs as Hot FM, as part of Southern Cross Austereo's Hit Network.
Prior to November 2013, the 4RGD was known as C FM, adopting a similar look and feel to SCA's coastal Sea FM stations.[1] [2]
4RGD is expected to undergo a further name change in December 2016 when Southern Cross Austereo overhauls the branding of its regional radio networks, which will see 4RGD changing its name from Hot FM to Hit 100.7, in line with other Hit Network stations such as Brisbane's Hit 105 and Canberra's Hit 104.7.[3]
In addition to its main 100.7 frequency in Toowoomba, 4RGD also broadcasts on 91.9 FM in Warwick (covering the Southern Downs) and 97.5 FM in Dalby, Queensland (covering the Western Downs). The station is also relayed to 4KRY in Kingaroy, Queensland where it is broadcast to the South Burnett on 89.1 FM.[4]
As Hot FM, 4RGD performed well in a ratings survey conducted by Xtra Research in June 2016, winning an average of 31% audience share in all 10+ demographics.[5] According to the survey results, the station also won all but two individual age demographics. The station was beaten in the older 55-64 and 65+ demographics by ABC Southern Queensland.[6]
