Abortion in Brunei

Abortion in Brunei is only legal when it will save the woman's life. In Brunei, a woman who induces her abortion is subject to up to ten years in prison. The same penalty is applicable to someone who performs an abortion.[1]

In 2014, Brunei's government implemented Sharia criminal law that punishes abortion with flogging and stoning.[2]
