Adil Ahmed Khan (born 7 July 1988) is an Indian footballer who currently plays for Dempo in the I-League as a defensive midfielder or as a right back.

Career

Sporting Goa

A product of the Sesa Football Academy, Adil Khan started his football career in SESA in 2003 where he played for 5 years. He then moved to Sporting Clube de Goa in 2008 where he played till the end of the 2012-13 season.

Mohun Bagan

Khan signed for century-old Kolkata-based club Mohun Bagan A.C. on one-year deal. He made his debut for Mohun Bagan in the I-League on 22 October 2013 against Bengaluru FC at the Bangalore Football Stadium in which he played till the 79th minutes before being replaced by Shankar Oraon as Mohun Bagan drew the match 1-1.[1]

Delhi Dynamos FC

Adil Khan represented Delhi Dynamos FC in the 2014 ISL.[2]

Bharat FC

Adil joined the newly formed I-League team Bharat FC for the 2014-2015 season.[3]

Later career

After recovering from an injury he sustained while with Bharat FC, Khan signed with I-League 2nd Division side Lonestar Kashmir. After the season, he signed with newly promoted I-League side Dempo.[4]

International

Adil made his senior international debut against Azerbaijan for India on 27 February 2012.[5]

Personal life

Manchester United F.C. and Real Madrid C.F. being his favourite International clubs and Spain national football team being his favourite country whom he always supports, Adil Khan chose Rio Ferdinand and David Luiz to be his favourite International players.
