African Airways Alliance

African Airways Alliance (AAA) is a Somali-owned airline conglomeration based at the Aden Adde International Airport in Mogadishu, Somalia.

Overview

African Airways Alliance was established on 19 February 2015, when Daallo Airlines merged with Jubba Airways. The new firm is equally owned by both airlines' founders.[1]

Destinations

AAA will initially offers flights to 13 global destinations. It is scheduled to provide air services to 21 destinations by the end of 2015.[1]

As of February 2015, the company flies to Dubai, Jeddah and Nairobi. It plans to eventually serve Addis Ababa, Yemeni airports, Kampala and European airports.[1]

Fleet

According to African Airways Alliance, its fleet will consist of a Boeing 737-300 and two newly leased Airbus A321-111s. It also plans to use a firm-owned BAe 146-200 for charter services. Additionally, a new turboprop ATR aircraft is earmarked for domestic flights by the middle of 2015.[1]
