Alapakkam is a census town in Kancheepuram district in the state of Tamil Nadu, India.
Demographics
As of the 2001 India census,[1] Alapakkam had a population of 5421. Males constitute 53% of the population and females 47%. Alapakkam has an average literacy rate of 72%, higher than the national average of 59.5%; with 58% of the males and 42% of females literate. 10% of the population is under 6 years of age.
