American International School of Lagos (AISL) is an American international school in Lagos, Nigeria. Its serves grades PreK-12. The original campus, located on 6 acres (2.4 ha) of leased land leased by a government, opened in 1981. The Lekki campus is located on a 40-acre (16 ha) area off of the Lagos-Epe Expressway in Twin Lakes Estate.[1]
The school was founded in 1964.[1]
Student body
The school had 765 students during the 2013-2014 school year, with 55 countries represented in the enrollment. 19 of the students at the time were dependents of U.S. government employees, including those directly hired by the U.S. government and those who were contract employees. Of the total number of students, 225 were Americans and 167 were Nigerians.[1]
