Lesser Kuril Ridge

Lesser Kuril Ridge (Russian: Малая Курильская гряда) - a group of islands in the Pacific Ocean, that's part of the Kuril Islands.[1] It includes Shikotan, Habomai Islands and several small islands lying close to the Shikotan.

Separated from Greater Kuril Ridge by South Kuril Strait. Maximum height - 412 m (Shikotan).

Length - 100 km. Total Area - 360.85 km². Includes 6 large and several smaller islands.

Lesser Kuril Ridge is part of Yuzhno-Kurilsky District of Sakhalin Oblast of Russia. Claimed by Japan.
