Eumedonia eumedon, the geranium argus, is a butterfly of the Lycaenidae family. It is found in the Palearctic ecozone. This butterfly has been included in the genera Plebejus, Plebeius, Polyommatus and Aricia, but recent molecular studies have demonstrated that Eumedonia is a valid genus, different from the previous genera mentioned.[1]
The wingspan is 26–30 mm. The butterfly flies from May to August depending on the location.
The larvae feed on Geraniaceae species (genera Geranium and Erodium).
