Ashwi KD

Ashwi Khurd is one of the villages in Sangamner Taluka in Ahmednagar District in Maharashtra State. Ashwi Khurd is 74.4 km far from its district main city Ahmednagar, 156 km from Pune and 153 km far from state capital Mumbai. The nearest towns are Akole (20.8 km), Rahata (33.7 km), Kopargaon (45.8 km), and Shrirampur (47.9 km).[1]

Indian Cricketer Ajinkya Rahane (Captain of Indian Cricket team tour to Zimbabwe 2015) was born here. He is a currently a noted Indian batsmen having won several accolades for his sound technique. He is a right handed orthodox player. He plays for Indian cricket team as well as Rising Pune super giants in Indian Premier League and Mumbai in Ranji Trophy.
