Avadan is a village in Tarsus district of Mersin Province, Turkey. At 37°02′N 36°06′E / 37.033°N 36.100°E / 37.033; 36.100 it is situated in Çukurova (Cilicia of the antiquity) plains to the north of Çukurova motorway . The distance to Tarsus is 28 kilometres (17 mi) and the distance to Mersin is 50 kilometres (31 mi). The population of Avadan is 293 [1] as of 2012.
