BMW R1100R
The 'BMW R 1100 R' is a motorcycle of the vehicle manufacturer BMW with an air-oil cooled two-cylinder-flat engine. From 1994 to the end of the production in 1999 were built in the BMW factory Berlin 53 685 units of this type.[1]

Construction
The chassis and the engine are identical to the BMW R1100GS, the front brake is from the R 1100 RS.
The two cylinders work at a compression ratio of 10.3:. 1
In Germany, was offered due to insurance purposes in addition to the 59 kW version also a slightly via the air filter throttled version with 57 kW (78 hp). The maximum load is 215 kg.
Fuel
The average fuel consumption is 5.6 liters per 100 km at a speed of 120 km/ h. The fuel tank has a volume of 21 liters. The bike is equipped with an optional antilock braking system.The purchase price was DM 16,500.
Ulf Böhringer from the Süddeutsche Zeitung wrote very positive about the R1100R.
With the model year 2001, the R 1100 R was replaced by the R 1150 R.
