Baddi University of Emerging Sciences and Technologies (BUEST), formerly the Institute of Engineering and Emerging Technologies (IEET), is a private technical and professional higher education institution located at Baddi, Himachal Pradesh, India. BUEST is commonly referred to as Baddi University (Hindi: बद्दी विश्वविद्यालय ). It was established in 2002 and was recognized as a university in 2009.
Location
BUEST is situated in the foothills of the Himalayas in the industrial areas of Baddi, 40 km away from Chandigarh via Pinjore, 29 km from chandigarh via siswan; 30 km from Panchkula and 20 km from Pinjore. The campus is spread over an area of 40 acres (16 ha).
Institutes
The university incorporates four institutes:
School of Engineering and Emerging Technologies (SEET)
SEET was formerly known as IEET.
IEET was first institute established in 2002. It offers undergraduate, postgraduate level studies and research in engineering. IEET has 8 academic departments:

Institute of Pharmacy and Emerging Sciences (IPES)
Institute of Pharmacy and Emerging Sciences (IPES) was established in year 2007. Its a well known college in India.
Institute of Management Studies (IMS)
Institute of Management Studies (IMS) was established in year 2008.
Institute of Mass Communication Studies (IMCOS)
IMCOS offer degree in Mass Communication.
Facilities
Library
In Baddi University there are Libraries for MBA, Engineering, Pharmacy departments. Beside Library there are separate Reading Rooms where students can read newspapers, magazines etc.
Sports
Baddi University provides sports facilities for indoor and outdoor games. Teams are sent out to compete in university-level sports competition. Sports facilities include cricket, football, volleyball, table tennis, badminton and athletics.
Transportation
Day scholar students can avail the bus facility provided by Baddi University. Baddi University of Emerging Science & Technologies provides bus facility to students from Nalagarh, Chandigarh, Kalka, Pinjore.
Other facilities
ATM Facility to students-- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - On the main Gate of Baddi University of Emerging Science & Technologies there is ATM of IDBI Bank which operates 24 hours. Students can withdraw money any time from this ATM in Baddi University.
24 Hours wi-fi-In Baddi University Solan wi-fi facility is available to students 24 hours in campus, Boys Hostels and Girls Hostels as well.
There is also Computer Centre & Internet Lab in Baddi University where students can avail Internet during college hours.
Campus
The institute campus is situated in the Solan district of Himachal Pradesh, India. In Baddi University there are hostels for both Boys & Girls. Girls Hostels are situated inside the campus which is adjacent to Pharmacy department while Boys Hostel of 1st year students is just at a walking distance of 5 minutes from MBA Department and senior Boys Hostel is located outside of the campus.
Cultural and non-academic activities
Cultural activities like dramatics, speaking, Literary Arts, Music and Fine Arts also mark an important feature in the life of a student of Baddi University. Speaking and Literary Arts have always been very popular in the student community with students actively participating in quizzing, writing and debating activities.
Sangam
Sangam is the annual fresher party held every year in the month of September–October.
Emanation
Emanation is an annual two-day function usually organized in the month of March/April. It consists of cultural nights, annual prize distribution, technical events and soft skill events along with fun events. It is a full two day entertainment and lot of learning for students and faculty. The students and faculty members both came open forward to participate in each event with full courage.
Jay z B, Barbie Rajput, and The local Train were present for the 2014 Emanation.
MasterMind
MasterMind is a himachal oriented mega competition which aims to search for one young genius who has achieved high level of intelligence, creativity, talent, communication skills, technical capability, general knowledge. The 1st MasterMind winner -Mohammad Saad from kullu District won the 2013 MasterMind title with 1 lakh cash prize and Scholarship [1]
