Balan-Bale
Balanbale and goldogob are announced Jale Mohamed Siyaad Bare President of Somalia in 1982 at same time Balanbale or Balanbal (various spelling) is a district of the central region of Galguduud, in Somalia. Balanbale is the third largest city in Galguduud, the two other largest towns being Abudwak and Dhusa Mareb. Balanbale is largely inhabited by the of the Marehan sub-clan of the Darod.
Balanbale is situated on the western side of Galguduud Region on the Somalia-Ogaden Border.
Recent History
Since the start of the civil war in Somalia, Balanbale's population has roughly doubled. Most households make their living from livestock raised nearby countryside.
Public services have become non-existent, but schooling was something people worked hard to maintain without any sort of help from any governmental entity.
Diaspora from Balanbale and Abudwak have recently established a well-organized Hospital named, Balanbale Mothers And Children's Hospital. Friends of Balanbale MCH made concerted effort to bring quality health facility in Balanbale. Organizers wanted the residents of Balanbale to have trained medical personal and quality medicines. Saeed Osman and Sharmake Abdulle have in recent years supporting various projects to ensure the wellbeing and development of the city.
