The 1987 Battles of Farsia and Oum Dreyga took place on 18 November 1987 in the Farsia and Oum Dreyga sections of the Moroccan Wall, when POLISARIO troops clash with the Royal Moroccan Army, with the result of more than three hundred victims from both camps. The clashes took place 48 hours after the arrival of a United Nations technical mission whose mission was to evaluate the conditions for a self-determination referendum in Western Sahara.^[2]^[3]
